A perfect March Madness bracket is considered one of the highest odds to accomplish with an 1 out of 9.2 quintillion odds. The reasoning behind this is simply because there can be one single game that could ruin the moment of creating the perfect bracket.
Here is some history of the best finishes of a March Madness bracket created throughout the years when the NCAA started keeping track in 2014.
There have been some methods that can increase the chances of you completing the first ever perfect bracket of the March Madness bracket, but it requires a lot of research to achieve the historic results. There isn’t an actual reward by the NCAA itself but plenty of other participants are putting in all sorts of prizes.
Now, how do you attempt a perfect bracket? ESPN offered users an autofill bracket with four choices but here are my tips when it comes to attempting the perfect bracket with the help of the NCAA Standings.
The first tip is to look at selected teams that finished strong in recent games such as those that are on a winning streak and/or finished strong in their conference tournament.
The second tip is looking at away games. Since all March Madness games are at a neutral site and no one is considered the home team, consider teams that have won plenty of away games.
The final tip is looking at the strength of schedule. Often, many bracket-fillers have overlooked the overall record and may assume that they may be a strong team but sometimes they could be in a conference that is considered weak.
We will find out who will be selected for the tournament on March 16. Once selections are confirmed, free bracket selections can be made on ESPN and NCAA.
